“Athame” – Labradorite & Blue Goldstone Pendant

This pendant is smaller than many of my statement pendants, at around an inch and a half long, but packs all the drama and flash of rainbow labradorite into a miniature package.

I picked up the centerpiece labradorite at the Tar Heel Gem and Mineral Show, along with the round blue goldstone bead that I used as an accent. The shape of this pendant ended up reminding me of a dagger, hence its name – an athame is a type of ceremonial or ritual blade. I very nearly kept this one for myself, but decided to let it find a home with someone looking for a bold little rainbow to call their very own.
